The Innovative Health Foundation (IHF) provides funding for families with children who need special services due to their disability. These children may have down syndrome, autism, ADHD or sensory/motor disorders; no matter the disability, they have problems with major life activities such as language, mobility, learning, self-help, and independent living.
Parents and caregivers of a child with a developmental disability can quickly be overwhelmed by the magnitude of services needed. One of the things children need most is therapy—for some kids, that may be the only thing that works. What do parents do when they can’t afford it? Families experience a lot of stress even if they can pay for everything that their child needs. For other families, the stress can be unbearable. IHF closes the money gap offering families funding for their child's therapeutic services.
